[Calgary, AB & Toronto, ON] – July 29, 2025 – International production studio and rights business, Blue Ant Studios and Titan1Studios jointly announced today that they have partnered to co-develop a video game adapted from the animated YouTube series Armadillo Avalanche.
Based on the animated IP created by Celeste Koon and produced by Blue Ant Studios, Armadillo Avalanche centers around a group of girls who face both real-world and supernatural challenges as they navigate tweenhood together through music, friendship, and monster fights. The series has resonated with its core audience for its smart humor, emotionally grounded storytelling, kick-ass soundtrack, and creature-driven metaphors tied to personal growth. Building off the fandom as a result of the series, this next step in Armadillo Avalanche’s evolution meets viewers where they are, creating a universe for fans to engage with.
The Armadillo Avalanche game brings a fresh twist to the rhythm-action genre, blending platforming, beat ’em up combat, and music-based mechanics. Players will take the stage as members of a tween girl rock band, fighting off monstrous creatures using powerful combos tied to guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. As players master their instruments, they’ll unlock musical abilities, and high-impact power-ups—all designed to deliver fast-paced, expressive gameplay.

We’re so excited to team up with Titan1Studios to give fans a chance to play as the band, feel the rhythm, and connect with the story in an entirely new way.”

Blue Ant Studios, an international production studio and rights business, is overseeing global licensing and distribution of ITN Productions’ 1 x 60’ film Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy. The company has inked a deal with ITV to air the documentary in the UK for the first time at 9pm, ITV1 & ITVX, August 18th.
Commissioned by Peacock/NBC, the documentary first aired on the US streamer in February this year. When compared with audience figures in the first two weeks of release, Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy was Peacock’s third most-watched documentary since 2022.
ITN Productions has since updated the film to reflect the developments in the trial of Dr Salvador Plascencia who has been charged with giving Perry ketamine.
This premium one-off film examines the life of the Friends star, Matthew Perry, the extraordinary circumstances around his tragic death and the impact he had on fans across the world.
The story of Perry’s rise to fame is interwoven with the harrowing tale of his final days, as he allegedly received ketamine from sources the U.S. Attorney claims “should have known better”.
Friends co-star and Hollywood doyenne Morgan Fairchild who played the eccentric mother, Nora Bing in the NBC series, talks candidly in the film about Perry’s drug addiction and working with the actor on Friends.
The documentary also includes unique and revealing commentary from Hollywood insiders, US Sun journalist Katy Forrester, medical professionals and Martin Estrada, the District Attorney at the Central District of California US Attorney’s office at the time of Perry’s death among other contributors.
Gerbrig Blanksma, SVP, International Sales & Partnerships, Blue Ant Studios.: “This latest sale to ITV in the UK is testament to the timeliness of the project in addition to ITN Production’s thorough examination of the tragic end of Matthew Perry’s life. Sales have already been made in nearly 20 territories globally and we expect interest in the documentary to continue.”
Sasha Breslau, ITV Head of Content Acquisitions, said: “We’re pleased to bring this in-depth and fascinating film to ITVX, documenting the life of one of television’s best loved actors, Matthew Perry. The film hears first hand from those who knew Matthew, as well as telling the story of his untimely passing with updated developments not seen before.”
Ian Russell, ITN Productions Head of International Programmes, said: “The film got a lot of attention when it was released on Peacock in the US and I am delighted that Blue Ant has found it a home on ITV, so UK audiences can appreciate the – now updated – intricacies of this tragic story.”
Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy was executive produced by Ian Russell, Head of International Programmes ITN, Mike Griffiths and Robert Palumbo. It was directed by Robert Palumbo and the production manager was Nickie Hyde. It was commissioned by Cori Abraham, SVP NBCUniversal and is distributed worldwide by Blue Ant Studios. Post was in-house by ITN Post.
Programme synopsis:
On October 28th, 2023, the news that actor Matthew Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home shocked the world. In his memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” he told his story of battling addiction, and when ketamine was found in his system, it was thought by many that he had died from an overdose. Nearly a year later, a bombshell announcement came: five people, including Perry’s live-in personal assistant, two medical doctors, and an individual authorities accused of being a Hollywood drug dealer known as the “Ketamine Queen,” were charged with conspiring to illegally provide Perry with ketamine. In this documentary, the story of Perry’s rise to fame is interwoven with the harrowing tale of his final days, as he allegedly received ketamine from sources the U.S. Attorney claims “should have known better.” Perry’s castmates, friends, law enforcement, and a brutally honest Perry himself tell this epic Hollywood story. Blue Ant Studios oversees licensing opportunities for new titles outside of commissioning territories. The new titles include:
Animal Crowds (3 x 60’) Producer: Bonne Pioche Télévision Co-Production partner: ARTE GEIE This fascinating three-part series examines the phenomenon of wildlife that gathers, lives, and moves about in groups by the hundreds and even thousands. Whether it be herds, flocks, shoals, swarms, or colonies, everywhere on Earth animals form communities driven by the need to reproduce, adapt to climatic conditions, feed and protect themselves, or any combination of the above. The series goes one step further to reflect on the human tendency to get close together in large groups and how our societies and territorial urges might be dictated by animal instinct. Incredible footage of animals points to the study of behaviour and whether our social habits are the legacy of an evolution, to which we remain oblivious. From the producers of the legacy natural history documentary, The March of the Penguins, Animal Crowds promises breathtaking footage combined with compelling insight.
The Philippines (2 x 60’) Producer: Terra Mater Production partners: Catkin Media Production and Doclights This stunning two-part series takes audiences on an incredible journey into the varied natural landscape of the Philippines. Formed by Earth’s powerful forces over millions of years, the geological landscape of this extraordinary group of islands is shaped by volcanic eruptions and deep trenches. Oceans, seas, volcanos and the diverse marine life at the edge of the Coral Triangle make these islands a truly unique natural paradise on the Pacific Ring of Fire. This program will take us there to discover the beauty of The Philippines. Episodes explore the wild animals and marine life who inhabit the rainforests, mountains, beaches and reefs of the Philippines.
Boss Shark: Battle of the Sexes (1 x 60’) Producer: WildBear Entertainment Co-Production partner: Discovery In the world of great white sharks, males are bolder and more aggressive, but females are bigger. The first Boss Shark identified an alpha male in a congregation of male great white sharks. This new one-hour documentary uses a playful team-based competition spin to discover whether male or female sharks are more dominant. Through a series of jumping, strength, and boldness challenges, shark experts, Doctor Riley Elliott and Kori Burkhardt, evaluate the male and female sharks, to see which dominates the ecosystem and along the way, offering thrilling footage of sharks in action.
Planet Weird Season 2 (6 x 60’) Producer: WildBear Entertainment This second instalment of Planet Weird continues to explore bizarre outliers in the animal kingdom. With cheeky wit and a unique visual style, this eclectic series plays with pop culture, humor and graphics to make the absolute extremities of nature leap right off the screen and into the modern world. With the help of celebrity comic narrator, Ross Noble, the episodes deliver an experience that’s funny, irreverent and honest, revealing amazing creatures that can be as failable and deluded as people are.

The Three-Part True Crime DocuseriesShines a Light on Little-Known Cases Eclipsed in the Media by Notorious Murders
ABC News Studios*
Today, ABC News Studios announced “Murder Has Two Faces” begins streaming Tuesday, May 6, only on Hulu. From renowned two-time Emmy® Award-winning producer and director Lisa Cortés and hosted by trailblazing producer and co-anchor of “Good Morning America” Robin Roberts comes a new true crime docuseries that shines a social justice light on harrowing, lesser-known cases that were eclipsed in the media by more notorious murders. Not only does the series share new details on these overlooked crimes, but it also asks a question: Why didn’t they get the same level of attention as their notorious, eerily similar counterparts?
Each episode unravels a crime that shares uncanny similarities with high-profile cases, including Laci Peterson, Chandra Levy and the Craigslist Killer. Cases covered include Evelyn Hernandez, a pregnant mother who disappeared with her 5-year-old-son before her remains, like Laci Peterson’s, were found in the San Francisco Bay; Joyce Chiang, a promising young attorney who vanished and was found dead in Washington, DC, like Chandra Levy; and the Tagged Killer, an American serial killer who used social networking, like the Craigslist Killer, to lure women to secluded locations where some met their tragic deaths. The series includes exclusive interviews with friends and families of the victims as they fought for attention and justice for their loved ones, exploring the possible connections to the highly publicized cases.
“With Murder Has Two Faces,’ I wanted to challenge the narrative around whose stories get told — and why,” said executive producer and director Lisa Cortés. “These cases are as haunting as tragic and as deserving of national attention as the ones we all know. ABC News Studios and Robin Roberts were the perfect partners in helping bring visibility to these hidden figures. By spotlighting these overlooked lives, we’re not just telling true crime stories — we’re confronting the biases that determine which victims are seen, heard and afforded justice.”
“Murder Has Two Faces” is produced by Cortés Filmworks and Blue Ant Studios for ABC News Studios. Lisa Cortés serves as director and executive producer. Jon Sechrist, Tara Malone, Laura Michalchyshyn, Matthew Hornburg and Mark J.W. Bishop serve as executive producers. For ABC News Studios, Claire Weinraub is executive producer, Katie Conway is senior producer, and David Sloan serves as senior executive producer.?
